What a fantastic place and Christine Earl is the perfect host.  Upon arrival we were presented with Belgian chocolates, champagne and strawberries.

We have discovered something very unique and special this weekend and so feel absolutely compelled to let you know of this fantastic facility tucked away so deep in the countryside,so much so it’s commonly referred to as ‘The Secret’.

And yet it is only a short drive into Matlock, Derby or Nottingham…in so many ways, just perfect.

Will ‘The Secret’ be part of the bike tour? – absolutely.  It might be inland and off course but I know Christine will make the 44 Hundred team most welcome and do everything to ensure our tired well-travelled bodies are fuelled and relaxed for the next leg of the charity coastline bike tour.

Below is just a few of my books that should give you an idea of how much research material I’ve got to wade through.

I’ve recently purchased a massive vinyl UK map that now dominates my office wall.  As I start planning the route in detail, everything will get stored on there.

I’ve got a few weeks ahead of me wrapping up my forthcoming IT book and then I’ll be giving 44 Hundred some serious time and effort.

There’s so much to do! – and that’s whilst I hold down a job, provide IT services self employed and finish my forthcoming book ‘The Beginner’s Guide to a Fast & Secure PC”…

But 44 Hundred is a dream….something that must be done before I leave this mortal coil and more important to me is that I do it soon, have a great time doing it and raise money for charity!

Over the coming months they’ll be lots of new posts here at 44 Hundred about all the planning and of the actual bike tour itself.

For now these are just a few things you can expect to be reading about.

The Dream - how 44 Hundred was realised, what’ll we do, where we’ll go and how we’re going to include you

The Route - Maps and details of the clockwise route of the UK mainland, hugging the coastline as much as possible.  Will include all the stopping points and areas of interest

The Book - as an IT Author, writing articles and books is familiar to me.  My proudest achievement will be however to document the fun, hiccups and adventures of 44 Hundred

The Documentary - This wasn’t really planned until my friend Steve Balaam whet my appetite with his knowledge of bike filming equipment…so I guess it’s just got to happen now

The Log – if you don’t ride or can’t join us for some of the journey, then everyday you’ll be able to see a map of the distance travelled, read our tweets, see our photos, videos and read my diary…all here at 44 Hundred
